BSWA Membership Levels
Associate Membership
This is our regular membership. Open to anyone, Buddhist or Non-Buddhist who wishes to support the aims and values of the BSWA. Many new members start with an Associate Membership as they first begin to learn and practice Buddhism. We welcome Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike to support the Society by applying for this membership.
Full Membership
Full Membership is open to practicing Buddhists who have taken the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts. You can take the precepts in person with the Spiritual Director, Ajahn Brahm, Abbott of Bodhinyana Monastery, or the Assistant Spiritual Director, Ajahn Hasapanna, Abbott of Dhammasara Monastery, or other delegated member of the Sangha of the BSWA. If you are unable to do so, you may click here to take the precepts online or at an upcoming Vesak event. Upon taking the precepts, fill up the application form below.
You can upgrade your Associate Membership to Full Membership free of charge at any time. If you wish to upgrade to Full Membership, please click here for instructions.
Youth Membership
Youth Membership is free of charge for those under 18 years of age.
Lifetime Membership
Lifetime Membership is available for both Associate and Full members. This is equivalentof 20 years membership and will save you ever having to renew again this lifetime!
